This animal was a 7 year old male Boston terrier referred in for a pre-surgical MRI concerning a soft lump on the head. The Ref. veterinarian had tapped a reddish liquid out of the lump 3 days before. The lump was about the size of a golf ball located just behind the left eye. The owner reported a sudden onset 7-10 days ago. The lump was soft to touch and the animal had no neurologic problems noted on exam. The lump appeared clinically to be a small possible fluid filled mass on top of the skull. As you can see from the MRI images, the mass extends through the skull into the brain. This was diagnosed as an aggressive soft tissue cancer.
